Update
So, I started bringing together ideas for the Yessenia game, but…I dunno. I’m failing to find my enthusiasm for it.
I think maybe the problem is that it’s a bit too similar to some of my previous games. The plan was for Yessenia herself to be a ballet dancer with an overbearing instructor/parent who escapes into the city one night with you, her bodyguard. I was checking through my previous games however and it’s feels way to similar to Crystal Part 3. A lot of other scenes in the game remind me too much of Leanna.
So, I started thinking about my ‘tournament game’. One problem I’ve had is creating good designs for the characters. Then an idea hit me : why don’t I use existing characters?
I don’t like my Chun Li? Well, I have Sukiko. I want a muscular blonde for Cammy? Well, I have Leanna. I switched over the costumes and…
Really, the obvious game for me to make sometime would be Photographer Part 4 with all of me new characters since Leanna. I’ve never liked this idea however because all games like Leanna and Sukiko tell much more personal stories. They all end up in a relationship with the player, so a new photographer game would mean them cheating on their partner, which I don’t like.
But what if it was some weird alternative reality fantasy like this? I could have Leanna, Kristen, Molly, Marianna, Crystal and Sukiko all here but as tournament fighters instead. It would be fun, different and work as a good substitute for a new photographer game. Would also make sense as a potential final game from me it if ends up that way.

Please stop asking the same question on every post even if I respond or not. It does not make a a female player character more likely to happen.
I have to admit, I am intrigued by the existing-characters option.
I really like the Yessenia model, but that existing-character Street Fighter alternate reality could be a real winner.
You know? I’ve followed your work—all your games—since I was a preteen; you’re truly admirable, and I love everything you do. Personally—and I don’t think I’m the only one—I have a thing for lesbians, and I’ve been waiting a long time for a game where the female protagonist is canonically looking for a girlfriend. I’m not here to make demands, and obviously, the ideas and decisions are yours; to be honest, I like your concept for Yessenia. Personally, the idea of a game where your characters are fighting *Street Fighter*-style doesn’t turn me on—it doesn’t strike me as sexy—but if that’s your vision and that’s what you want to do, then go for it.
If there’s gonna be a fusion of previous characters and arcade games costumes, you need to have Debbie and Ashley too from Leanna. Specially Debbie since her game never came to be.
Hey man, could you also have Nikki appear? I really think she’s one of the best.
